Visa and Entry Fee
ARGENTINA ENTRY FEE ANNOUNCEMENT
Effective December 2009, an entry fee to enter Argentina for reasons of tourism or business was implemented by the Argentine Government to citizens of AUSTRALIA, CANADA and the UNITED STATES. The payment of this "reciprocity fee" is not a Visa since Argentina does not require visa to nationals of the mentioned countries when traveling for tourism or business purposes. The Argentine Government set this entry fee on equal amounts to those Argentine citizens must pay when requesting a visa to travel to those countries. Nationals of Australia, Canada and the United States must pay the Entry Fee in the following amounts:
- Australians: US$ 100 (one hundred US dollars)
- Canadians: US$ 70 (seventy US dollars)
- US Citizens: US$ 140 (one hundred forty US dollars)
For Australians or Canadians: the payment of the Entry Fee is valid for one single entry.
For US citizens the payment of the Entry Fee is valid for multiple entries during a period of ten (10) years from the date of first entry.
This entry fee will be collected only at Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport (EZE).
Forms of Payment: Cash (Argentine Pesos or United States Dollars only), Credit/Debit cards or Traveler´s Checks.
VISA REQUIREMENT
Before traveling to Argentina, citizens of the following countries must obtain -at the nearest Argentine consulate- a visa to entry into the Argentine Republic:
Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belize, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Comoros, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, East Timor, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, Korea, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Marshall, Mauritania, Mauritius, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nauru, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Ruanda, Russia, Saharawi, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Surinam, Swaziland, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

IMPORTANT: If your country is NOT listed above, then you do NOT need a visa to visit Argentina.
